Breakfast and After School Club

At Lime Walk Primary School we are able to offer wrap around care before and after school for all our busy families who require additional support.  Our Breakfast and After School Club are both very popular and are in high demand so it is essential for parents/carers to complete a Registration Form prior to booking a space for your child/children since we do have a limited number of spaces.

All staff at our Breakfast and After School Club are employed by the school and many of them work with the children throughout the day in various roles.  This helps children to feel secure with familiar faces in a friendly environment and all members of staff at Breakfast and After School Club receive regular training to keep everyone in our care safe.

Both the Breakfast Club and After School club are an extension of Lime Walk Primary School and follow the same policies and procedures.

Places are allocated to children that attend full time education and we are registered for no more than 24 children from 4-11 year olds at any time.  If you require a space for your child/children, please book and pay for the place/s in advance.  Unfortunately, children cannot be dropped off on the day without having booked a space with the office.

Our aims are:

  • To provide ‘Out of School Care’ in a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
  • To provide a variety of stimulating and exciting play opportunities in a group situation.
  • Promote food that reflects and encourages healthy eating.
  • Create an environment where pupils can enjoy their food in an area which is safe, hygienic and comfortable.
  • Children of all abilities have equal access to our planned play activities.

To achieve our aims, we will:

  • Hold club sessions every day.
  • Regularly clean and inspect the premises and equipment used.
  • Ensure that there is a qualified first aider on the premises at all times.
  • Encourage the children to be independent, to experiment, to be creative and to develop self-discipline and acceptable behaviour.

Making a payment:

Please make online payments using the School Gateway App when booking your child’s place.  To secure a space the booking must be made by 1pm the day prior to the date required.  We can not guarantee your child will be able to attend at late notice.

Cancellations:

All cancellations must be made direct to the office two working days in advance otherwise the fee charged may be forfeited.

Breakfast Club:

Our Breakfast Club runs each day from 8am and the prices are £3 per child and £2 for siblings per session.

Pupils are encouraged to select their own breakfast from the choices on offer. In Breakfast Club we provide children with a nutritional breakfast to help aid concentration and learning throughout the school day. On a daily basis we provide rice, wheat, oat and corn based cereals, that are not sugar coated and these are served with semi-skimmed milk.

Alongside these we serve toast with jam, honey or marmite, crumpets, pancakes or bagels.

We also provide seasonal fruits, fromage frais/yoghurts and a selection of fruit juices.

Parents/carers must accompany their child to the Breakfast Club and ensure their safe hand over to a staff member before leaving the premises.

After School Club:

Our popular after school club (Treetops) runs each day from 3:15pm until 6pm and the price is £9 per child for a full session.  If you only require additional childcare until 4:30pm the price is £4 per session.  In addition to providing a range of activities we offer a light snack which includes items such as cheese and crackers, wraps, hot dogs or toast served with beans.

Fruit and salad items are readily available and there is always squash or water.
