Registers
The school uses an electronic system and codes to denote various absences. A member of the office team will enter a specific code when informed of an arranged absence or appointment.
If you are aware of your child’s absence/appointment please inform the office to update the register.
Registers remain open for 10 minutes from the start of the school day and afternoon session.
Morning entry
Children are welcome into classes from 8:40 am in the morning and make their way independently into their classrooms for their morning tasks.
Doors close for registration at 8:55am and any child arriving late must report to the school office.
Meal choices will be made at the school office before the child joins the class.
Dismissal
At the end of the school day the teacher will release the children from the class. When the teacher is able to see an adult the child will be dismissed safely.
Older siblings are not allowed to collect a younger sibling, but with written permission of an adult, Year 6 children may walk home unaccompanied.
Permission must be given if a different adult collects at the end of the day. Each child has been allocated a password should a different adult come to collect them.
Early Departures
If a child leaves before the end of the school day, the office will collect the child from class to leave from the main office.
The register will be amended to ensure accuracy in case of evacuation.
Parents will be asked for details of appointments made for their child during the school day.
School Gates
The playground gates are opened between 8:40am and 8:55am and locked during the school day to ensure the safety of our pupils.
The site manager then opens them from 3:05pm until 3:20pm for collection.
The pedestran gate remains open during the school day for visitors.
